Travel Tips
I am from Aberdeen shire. I miss it so much there and can't wait to travel back. There is so much to do and see--it just depends on if you like outdoor things, indoor, religious, the party scene, and the list goes on. I recommend taking some time on holiday to visit the sea. In Scotland, it talks to you.
Tell you more when noone's listenin' shhhh!

i went on hols to Scotland 2 years ago, ive been on hols all over the world and i have to say Scotland was my fav. i went and stayed in a log cabin on a farm just outside fort william, i climbed Benn Nevis and just had a great time. people were great to us and always helped out. i didn't want to leave and i hope to live there one day, it had such a great effect on me... go and have fun
Och! ye canny beat the Scots Darlin WEEARRAPEEPUL! You will love it and everyone will make you feel welcome.
'och aye the noo' is what scottish people say. seriously though if you want a taste of scotland you should watch the film 'acid house'. you can download it off p2p.
Scotland is a wonderful country but it is best visited in the summer when you have a better chance of seeing the sun. The summer can be very variable though having said that this years was pretty good. You should visit the capital city Edinburgh and there are many tours around there, you can get open bus tours and night time ghost tours. Also a trip to the castle is a must. If you get a car then there are loads of nice places to see in the countryside but that would have to be done all by yourself. You could go and visit Balmoral castle which is the Royal families official residence in Scotland. There are loads of cool hill walks and forrest walks all over the country and lots of historic monuments to see. Try looking up the National Trust of Scotland on google for some ideas.
Okay head up north ie. Fort William, Inverness etc for the "holiday" scotland - all big hills and sheep. However if you want a bit of fun stick to Glasgow and Edinburgh - lots of bars and clubs and a bit of culture if you feel the need.

Be warned though - its very grey a lot of the time and I hope you like unhealthy fattening food cause we've got loads of it.
