What to see in aberdeen?

Travel Info
will be going there in May to visit my sons in RGU,so are there any events or celebrations there in May and where are the best places to go to in Scotland?

Travel Tips
Their is loads to see in Aberdeen, if you go to the Torry side of the beach (the harbour and river Dee estuary) you can see dolphins and if you go to the river Don estuary you usually see seals! There's great shopping centres, theatre etc. If you like the countryside try going to Bridge of Feuch (you can see salmon jumping), Banchory is a nice little village, also Ballater and Braemar (where the highland games are held is lovely) There are numerous castles Drum, Crathes and Balmoral to name a few, which you can go into. If you want to go further afield try Aviemore and Loch Garten you can see Osprey's there from April till September, you can also see these at The Loch Of the Lowes down near Perth, there is some beautiful scenery down there and Pitlochry is a lovely little town with a fish ladder at the hydro. Ther's so much to do here I could go on forever! I lived in England for 14 years but moved back here 3 years ago with my husband and kids. I have family here and the quality of life is so much better. Hope you enjoy your visit!

Others
aye there is loads to do in Aberdeen you have the Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre there is always sum kind of event going on here, you also have Provost Skene's House, now a museum, Aberdeen Art Gallery includes impressionists to modern Scottish arti Lemon Tree (said to be Aberdeen's all year festival fringe) great place to go and enjoy local music.Duthie Park's great for a day out. Aberdeen's famous 'Granite Mile' - Union Street - is the gateway to over 800 shops, restaurants and bars. The city centre boasts three large indoor shopping malls packed with all the well known high street names, the award winning Bon Accord Centre, which is fronted by the smaller but equally interesting St Nicholas Centre, there is also street entertainment, you have the carnivals at the beach, also the surrounding area has the best scenery in Scotland Royal Dee side is amazing in may,

P.s stay out of Torry unless you want your wallet taken from your grasp,
