Travel Info Which is better? Cathay Pacific or Asiana?Why? Travel Tips Definitely Cathay Pacific!!!it has great food and services!! Asiana is okay but not the top rated airlines to go to..... Others cathay pacific was voted best airline recently asiana might have nice service but cathay is still better in everything Cathay (CX) has consistently been voted one of the best airlines in the world. Asiana (OZ) is known for substantial increase in reputation, and is a fine airline. Head-to-head, CX would definitely win. But then you have to consider where you're flying to/from. E.g., if you're flying LAX-Seoul, I would sooner take the OZ direct flight than connect in Hong Kong by taking CX. I've flown both. They are both great airlines. Cathay Pacific has a reputation of quality and excellent service. Asiana is great, better than Korean Air. I'll be happy to fly on any of them. They circulated through the cabin, making sure everyone had something to drink. One great touch was just before takeoff, all the attendants stood in the aisle and bowed to the passengers. What a great non-verbal sign of appreciation for the passenger." "Well groomed and bright interior and so were the cabin crew. From greeting to the meal service, there was nothing to be pointed out. For 11-hr flight, the crews kept in shape and so was the lavatories and isles. They were on constant move checking out passengers but never noticable.
