Travel Tips u need to have an international driving license from india to drive anywhere abroad. that liscense is valid for a year. after that u need to apply for a license from the country u reside in next, u will be required to take a test there. that international license will hold good to drive anywhere. Others INDIAN driving is NOT valid in ANY country outside India. In many countries, they specify that Indian drivers will have to take driving test to get the license. Indian license is simply unacceptable. Yes, Indian driving licence is valid for only in india. You can not use for other countries. You want to take driving licence in other countries and if you submit your indian license, instead of learner stage they will take you directly to driving test with very little (For me half an hour) practice with testing inspector.
