What is better to change our money into euros before we go to belgium or when we get there or if we should jus

Travel Info
just use credit cards over there?

Travel Tips
I just came back from Belgium and here's my experience:
We exchanged some US $$ for Euros at the bank here and them used the ATM machines over there to get cash.
We got a much better exchange rate pulling cash out over there than we got in the bank in the US.
We used the credit cards for bigger purchases there, the best rates are always from American Express.
So have a few Euros with you before you travel - 100 should cover you just fine, especially, that public transportation is cheap and very efficient and then withdraw cash as needed over there from the ATMs.

Others
use dollars. If they won't take them go elsewhere
I dunno about credit cards, I lean towards cash because everyone accepts that. Change your money whenever you see the rate is either high or low, whichever you're looking for.
Hey,,, you can get money exchanged either before or after you are there..... what ever is easier for you ..... less stress.....

I suggest getting a bank card to use at any ATM machine... instead of changeing money thru a bank..... it makes life easier.... and you dont have to depend on a bank being open or not....

Have fun...

i 've been through the entire euopean union and using your atm/credit card will invariably give you the best rates provided you do not retrieve cash eeveryday since fees are often assessed.
Use Credit Cards for big things because you will get the bank rate. The bank rate is usually better then going to exchange places at the airport and in tourist areas. try and get some cash converted to euro at your bank before you go for things that you may want to purchase right away and maybe for you ride from the airport. If you feel comfortable carrying cash the go ahead and change as much as you want at home. If you need to change more when you get there, try and find a bank that will do it. This is always cheeper the Thomas Cook or something.

Oh and when you use your bank card at the ATM you will also get the bank rate. That is what I usually do is jsut take out cash like I would at home.
