I would compare it to the expense of things in New York City in the states. A breakfast (cappuccino, toast with ham and cheese) ran about 7 Euros and that is if you go to the cheap places. If you want to eat well and save money, go to Indonesian restaurants. They were the best meal I had there and quite reasonably priced. We also save by buying bread and cheese and picnicking. Hotels and travel (gas, tram) seemed kind of expensive. However, best coffee I have had in my life. And the other stuff to be found in the coffee shops was quite inexpensive too! The museums were not that bad, Anne Frank Haus cost about 8 Euros a person. |
