Travel Info Best and romantic resort in bermuda? Travel Tips 25 years ago my wife and I stayed at the Grotto Bay hotel. I guess it was romantic...being our honeymoon and all. It depends on what you want to do. Bermuda is not a large island so everything is easily accessible. For golf and beach try the Southampton Princess. Avoid hurricane season. Source(s): Been there...done that! Other Travel Tips We were in Bermuda a couple years ago on cruise and some of the hotels had had hurricane damage. They were being repaired. The best thing about Bermuda is the beaches. There are only a few hotels on the beaches there, but all of the public beaches are great. I suggest a 5,6 or 7 day cruise to Bermuda instead, it will be less expensive. The island is small (22 miles long) and you can do the tour of it in one day. Then the rest of your time is beach time. They have a great public transportation system, so you can go all over the island with one public transportation ticket (bus and ferry). It depends on if you are looking for a 4 - 5 star resort with all of of the amenities, or a smaller accomdation. If a big resort is your bag I would suggest the Elbow Beach, which is on the south shore. It recently underwent renovations and has a beautiful beach and stunning views. However if you are looking for something smaller and more initimate, I suggest Pompano Bay in the West, which is a smaller hotel, or Aunt Neas Inn in the Old Town of St. George's which is a bed and breakfast type accomodation - but so cozy and so quaint and romantic. |
