Bermuda has some of the best beaches anywhere; pink sand beaches that you can find a deserted spot on. We were in Bermuda a couple years ago on cruise and some of the hotels had hurricane damage, but they were being repaired. The best thing about Bermuda is the beaches. There are only a few hotels on the beaches there, but all of the public beaches are great. I suggest a 5,6 or 7 day cruise to Bermuda, it will be less expensive than flying there to stay in a hotel. The island is small (22 miles long) and you can do the tour of it in one day. Then the rest of your time is beach time. They have a great public transportation system, so you can go all over the island with one public transportation ticket (bus and ferry).

I've only been there once, so bear with me...
Slightly pink sand, gorgeous beaches, & friendly locals. Food is expensive (they import almost everything). Hotels are the biggest expense you'll pay out there, besides airfare (prices are coming down on airfare, deals can be had) - but check out the web site below for local rentals.
You can't drive there (it's Illegal), but you can rent a scooter..or take the bus.
Climate is mild all through falll winter and spring, and it gets humid/hot in summer. (80-90 F)

Bermuda if wonderful as you will see by surfing the web. But what's not well publicized? If you rent one of those scooters (i.e. mopeds) be careful! It's dangerous. Buses and taxis are fast on those narrow roads; you drive on the left, and there are no shoulders. And many of the roads are made with coral which harbors some kind of bacteria. If you crash and get an abrasion you're looking at a nasty infection. Same thing with the coral walls lining the roads.
