Travel Tips
Look in the newspaper-there are usually ads to become flight attendants under the schooling section of the employment part of the newspaper or look online for flight attendant schooling.

I'm assuming you are talking about a job as a flight attendant. Start by checking individual airline websites in the career/jobs section. As far as advice goes, be prepared. My experience is that it's a competetive job market, and that interviews vary. Some interviews are set up to be especially uncomfortable (ie too hot, too cold, loud) to see how you react. The training process can be long. Also, since FAs are union, you should expect that as a new FA you will be working a lot of the flights/trips that no one else wants.
Hello- I am a former Flight attendant. I started by looking on the internet. Go to the airline webpage that you would like to work for. It should have the positions available & also the time & dates that they will be conducting interviews in your area. When I went on my interview; we first had a group interview where we introduced ourselves & said why we would like to work in the airline industry and how we would benefit the company. Then they sent us all out the room to determine who would get a second interview(this would be a one-on-one interview). Out of 55 people who showed up, only about 8 or 10 names where posted for the second interview. I found my name on the list & had an individual interview w/ the airline Rep. I was offered a chance to go to training. I was sent a packet w/ all kinds of announcements to memorize before I got to training. They will provide an airline ticket and hotel accomedations. You will have to buy some of your meals or all.So make sure you have money in your saving fo at least a month of training. The first day I reached-we went in individually and had to say the announcement that we had to memorize. SO whatever is given to you to memorize-MEMORIZE IT!!! Several girls were put on the next available flight out b/c they came unprepared-they didn't memorize the announcements. You will have one or more test almost everyday. Study Hard-the tests can be no joke. Most airlines you can't get below a 90% on the test. Don't let others who might be in your training that were flight attendant before discourage you. I had 2 girls who were former attendant and they both failed trianing & were sent home.Just take your time & study hard. And of course you'll have those wanna be's who have never been a flight attendant & think they know it all. Just focus on you; it also might help to have a study partner. But-some people study good by themselves. OH! Remember to dress professionaly for your interview. A navy suit is a good color ( most airline colors). Not to much make up; natural tones are best.Pulling your hair back into a bun if possible. Rember to articulate properly(use good language skills). And remember to have good eye contact & good body language. I hope this helps ! GOOD LUCK!!!
