The Civil Rights Institute is an excellent history museum.

I don't know if I would call that period of Birmingham's history "nice" (it wasn't) but it is an important museum about an important era.

the city centre is really nice, and the canal development around brindley place, and the new bull ring shopping centre. There are good galleries and museums if you like culture- but, not many parks or green spaces I'm afraid- you have to go further afield for those.
how do you mean-nice? There are loads of shops which are nice. There are plenty of museums, galleries, etc. I would recommend the SeaLife centre. If you want to go to quiet nice places liek green bits, just pop on the Metro(tram thingy) and you can go to some of the suburbs.
The Bull Ring LoL
There is a very nice chocolate museum.
