Travel Info I am confused. Is there a train going STRAIGHT from Birmingham to London Stansted? Travel Tips The only service running from Birmingham to Stansted is the central trains service from birmingham new street. It stops continously along the way at places such as Nuneaton, Leicester, Peterborough, Ely and Cambridge. So it follows a sort of arc shaped route. It is a very scenic and relaxing journey, going all the way to the airport takes about 4 hours (no kidding). If you don't mind the length of journey then it's a good way to get to the airport. If that journey is not what you'd consider STRAIGHT, then the specific answer to your question is no, there is not a train that goes straight there. Other ways of getting there include the national express coaches (which takes ages because it goes via Milton Keynes), or to get a train to London Euston, then get the tube to King's Cross, then get a train to the airport from there. Source(s): I've done it myself. Other Travel Tips I don't do word problems. I JUST MADE LEVEL 5 BY ANSWERING THIS QUESTION!!! THANKS! oh, about the the train, I'm not sure. yes u can go direct with central trains they run an hourly service most days xx |
