Substances that would individually be harmless and could be taken past airport security with no problem, were to be combined once the plane was in the air to create a bomb. The plan had been to bring several planes down that way at the same time. For international safety, some of these normally innocent substances have been banned, in an effort to avoid such an occurrence. Because the suspected terrorist bombers from the UK, who wanted to blow up planes last week, where planning to use liquid explosives. There is suspicion that there are still other would be bombers out there, and therefor, all liquids, that could possibly be explosive are banned. THey were passing this liquid substance as bottles of water I believe (not sure on that part) but they got caught and now that is why any liquid or gel susbstance is not being allowed on the plane. |
