Which town is the dirtiest, ugliest spot in the West Midlands?

Travel Info
Off the top of my head I would consider Smethwick, Bilston, West Bromwich, Coventry, Wolverhampton...

Travel Tips
Some of those Black Country areas you mention have improved over recent years. Sandwell was a joke but now seems to be more friendly and presentable than it was. They have had real difficulties what with the collapse of traditional engineering and immigrant communities to assimilate but they are making an effort.
I find a drive out of Birmingham along the Stratford Road quite depressing and also Soho Road in Handsworth. Taking the train out of Snow Hill through Jewellry/Winson Green/ Galton/Rowley is pretty grim but most places look bad from the railway.
This is a rather sad question for a sunny Monday morning but I must be sadder for answering it!
