I need to find cheap tickets to England? |
Travel Info I desperately need to travel to England this December, my great-grandmother is very ill and I havent seen her in like 3 years and I just want to see her so she knows that her family in the United States is still and will always be there for her even though the distance between us is great. I tried searching for tickets on all the most common search engines but they are pretty expensive, I am trying to make this a frugal trip seeing that it is mainly due to an emergency and not for leisure. Can anyone help me? Do you think the tickets are expensive because the time is around the holidays? I am losing hope that I might not be able to go, I dont think I can live with myself if I dont. Travel Tips The closer to Christmas you get to, the more expensive the tickets, I am sorry to say. Get them as early as you can, they airlines know that they can get the betst prices as everyone wants to travel everywhere then. Others Try and find tickets to anywhere in Europe....then look on Ryan Air...they have random specials with prices as low a 1 cent (this becomes about $30 with taxes) but I know Ryan Air flies into the UK. They fly from all over Europe, so if you could find a cheap flight simply over here, you could then find a cheap Ryan Air flight to England. Try STA travel. They do some great deals, especially for students and youths. I have used them for travel between London and Los Angeles several times, as well as getting a great last minute package to Portland last summer. They use all the major airlines, but I recommend flying Virgin Atlantic if you can, they are my favorite.
