Where are some nice areas to live in Birmingham? Are there some areas I should avoid? |
Travel Info My husband and I are relocating to Walsall. I have been looking at where possibility to live, but am not sure where to specifically look once we move. Any ideas? Travel Tips Depends on your willingness/ability to commute. Look north of Walsall - Stafford/ Penkridge/ Lichfield. There are plenty of reasonable villages and small towns in those regions but you may need to contend with the M6! Other than north it means crossing big slabs of the metropolitan, urban West Midlands and that makes travel more difficult. Closer to Walsall there are some nicer properties on the road (A38) from Walsall to Great Barr. I used to commute from SW Birmingham to Walsall. There are some nice places out of Brum towards Kidderminster but it means M5/M6 every day. Others Don't move to walsall!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!... avoid aston - small heath - I grew up in West Heath - a really really nice part. Go along the Bristol Road to the Lickey Hills. There is a nice school there I went to in the 70's saint columbas - its still good - there are no racial problems in west heath and its right next to the country side and close to the city Hell yes! there are places you should avoid. |
