Travel Info What is it like in Coventry these days? Is it still an industrial city? Travel Tips Its probably not as industrial as it was 5 or 10 years ago due to some of the larger factories closing down. Also it seems that most of the industrial areas are grouped together. There are now some nice residential areas to live in. Others Not sure, nobody speaks to me when I get sent there.. What Industries???? - Thatcher destroyed our manufacturing industries back in the 1980s There are still some small industries around Coventry but mainly its a university city. I lived in Coventry for 4 years and found people where not as friendly as I expected..... Coventry is a bleak post-industrial city full of chavs and chav nots. I haven't been there for awhile but I once lived there. I loved the Coventry market and the people were very friendly. There are still small industries around Coventry |
