Yes they are definitely worth visiting.

The Lanes are near the seafront and are full of shops and restaurants but can be a little touristy.

There are also the North Laines. These are a little further from the seafront and are more lively than the Lanes with cafe tables in the street, more pubs and a more alternative style to the lanes.

If you are in Brighton you should take a stroll along them. Pictureque lanes with quirky shops. If you're not interested it'll only take you a few minutes. They are just off the sea front.
