The Jazz Rooms are groovy....there are some lovely restaurants around the pavilion and don't leave brighton without going on the 'mouse' ride on the end of the pier...however, don't go on the ghost train...its rubbish.
you've got to go to blanch house - great hotel!

each room is individually designed and the cocktail bar downstairs is open till about 4am on weekends. It has a really nice and relaxed atmosphere and is in the kemp town area of brighton, which is about 5 minute walk from the city centre.

I went last year and booked the snowstorm room which houses the oweners collection of snowstorms within the room's furniture. The White Room is also meant to be very good, though I have heard that some of the cheaper rooms a little on the small size, though to be fair their website does make this clear.

I can also recommend the restaurant downstairs which offers three courses for a set 拢30 per head.

Best to book early as it does tend to get booked up quite quickly.

For a good "grown-up" club, you can always try da-do-ron-ron, which is a 60's motown and northern soul night which only plays music with female lead vocals. It's on once a month and attracts a good range of age groups and people there - from original 60's soul lovers to young wanabees.

Also for a nice pub to go to try the barley mow, which is near blanch house in kemp town - the food there is great and perfect for spending a sunday reading the papers whilst washing down a roast with a pint or ten.

Not really sure about hotels cos i live in brighton. I would highly recommend going to the Concorde 2 club, approx a mile left of the pier (as you are facing it). Its a wicked club, not too many students! A proper mash up but never any trouble. Enjoy! XXX
