Newcastle to Brighton?? |
Travel Info What do you suggest! on 21st June i need to be in Brighton, i know its a bit away but i need to prppare lol, Any suggestions ie, bus, car train, plane?? Travel Tips Hope his makes sense, I live in Brighton and have to go to Blackburn in a week or so. The train price is 拢165 return so everyone who is saying it is the cheapest way is correct, but do this first. Go to http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/... and search train discount codes. I done this today and via info on that site got a return- yea return for 拢15 ! Others well the plane flight would be a bit pointless for a short distance, when i 1st ead the question i 1st thought ov train because tickets are cheap and it wouldnt take too long, the car journey would cost a lot of money for the petrol there and back. so personally i fink it is between the bus and the train (i prefer trains to be honest) but it ur choice and i hope this helps you. have fun in Brighton! :o) my brain Train from Newcastle to London Kings Cross. Then, two or three minutes walk to Kings Cross Thameslink station, (it's clearly signposted), from where you can get direct, regular trains straight to Brighton. Train would be the easiest option but it's a long journey and wont be cheap. I have been to Brighton by train from the Midlands (near Birmingham), changed in London (as someone else mentioned about kings cross) in total it took about 4/5hours and cost about 拢45. If you buy a ticket well in advance you can get cheap tickets (ask if there are any deals etc...) and some journeys are faster than others (something we were told after we had been), so start looking and shop around! 'grpr1964' is spot on. I would add that if you go to www.nationalrail.co.uk you can use the journey planner to not only find times but give you fares as well. The walk from Kings Cross mainline to Kings Cross Thameslink will take you 5 minutes at the very most. Check the GNER website since they are advertising some very cheap fares between London & Newcastle. If you stand in Newcastle's High Street facing south - to your left you will find the sea. Walk down to the beach and turn right. Keep going. When you get to a sharp right hand turn you will know you are in Margate. Not too far to go now. You'll recognise Brighton by the sign that says "Welcome to Brighton." Going back is much harder. Turn your monitor upside down and follow the same instructions, backwards. |
