Like any city or coastal resort, there is an element of yobbish behaviour, mainly on the weekends as large groups come to our humble city and seem to forget what manners are!

Have been told it is but not as rough as blackpool.
Like all places it depends on what area you are in. Yes there are certain areas of Brighton that are rough but there are also areas of Brighton that are really nice.
Nah. It's full of luvvies.
I have lived there for 7 years and never had a serious problem.

Worst place is West Street on a saturday night - but that's the same in any city where the cheesy night clubs are and where the chavs go out.
Everywhere large city has rough area's, but Brighton has a great continental feel with a large mix of cultures and sex's but I am sure it is not as rough as London and some northern city's.

Great place to be in the summer!
Depends which part you go to , like any city.
