What's the best way to travel in Australia? |
Travel Info What's the best way to travel in Australia? Travel Tips Bus, train, subway, airplane...depends on where you are going and for how long. The three major national airlines are: virginblue.com.au jetstar.com.au qantas.com.au If you are looking for specific state tourism/travel information, just google that state. Here is the Queensland gov't webpage: http://www.qld.gov.au/ It has everything from transport to holidays, etc. It's a good starting point. Since you specifically posted your question in Brisbane, then www.ourbrisbane.com.au is a good site. Good luck and have fun! Source(s): Personal experience Other Travel Tips Australia's one of the largest countries in the world. If you're travelling from, say, Brisbane to Sydney, it's a nice enough drive, if a little long, but if you want to go from any state capital to Perth, you're going to want to fly. I would say you're best to hire a car to get around cities, as the public transport systems can be a little confusing, but you should probably fly between them, unless you really want to see the bush. Modified 1 year ago The best way is by car you can do what you like when you like and stop when you like.... beautiful place to miss if your in a plane no good if your in a train and bus no way...........HO ZAY Um, how are you traveling? If you're in a city, walking or using the bus is probably best. If you want to go to the Outback, use a plane to go to your destination or get on the bus...it's a wonderful trip, trust me. It's unreal in that unlike America, between cities like Brisbane and remote parts of Queensland, there's just nothing but country. It's one of the most remote places on Earth. You will have to travel by plane between major cities probably. The drives are longer than you think. Australia is a beautiful country, and depending on your mode of transportation, it should be a good time nonetheless! Another thing...I found that it was easy to walk to most places in my entire time there. Australia is in my impression, a very pedestrian friendly place. It's pretty warm most places, so weather isn't a problem. It doesn't matter if you're in the Outback or city, walking isn't a problem. It's very safe too. Modified 1 year ago |
