Travel Tips Movie World, Gold Coast Dream World, GOld Coast Surfers Paradise, Gold Coast The Big Pineapple, Sunshine Coast Sanctuary Cove, Sunshine Coast Others There is only one of that selection between Brisbane and Cairns. Movie World, Dream World, Surfer's Paradise and Sanctuary Cove are all south of Brisbane. The Big Pineapple is the only thing between Brisbane and Cairns. Curious Gal - your geography sucks !!!! There is the Sunshine Coast and Frasier Island? Other than that, the Gold Coast is the other way! I liked that better! Aren't the Glass House Mountains on the way, along with Steve Irwin's zoo? Modified 1 year ago There are some good stopovers between Brisbane and Cairns. It ios a long way ( about 1300 km, or 800 miles) The Sunshine Coast is a nice area, but not far from Brisbane. It depends on how long you want it to take. Towns like Bundaberg, Gladstone and Rockhampton are all on the highway, and worth a visit. Airlie beach and the Whitsunday Islands are a great place to visit. Bowen is a nice place as well. Townsville then Cairns. You could do it in a couple of days or a couple of weeks. |
