The food is often cheap and is a range of fried and grilled food, hence the "greasy" bit of the name. It will serve things like bacon sandwiches, eggs and chips, baked beans, sausages and so on. They are often full of workmen and builders and old men. You can find lots of them but the quality will vary considerably.
