What's it like in Weston-Super-Mare?

I may be moving there towards the end of the year. What kind of people live there? What are the local bars / shops like? What other things are there to do there?

I've only driven thru it a couple of times. Seems nice but wanted to get opinions from people who live there or have visited it a bit more.

Travel Tips

It is a nice quiet sea-side town. The tidal range is very large on the Severn Estuary and when it is at its lowest ebb it exposes a lot of mud. The main beach is nice and sandy and it is nice when the tide is on and the sun is shining.
