Travel Info Why does the Severn Bridge only have a toll going into Wales and not to into England? Travel Tips Because you are paying to get into the better of the 2 sides! No tolls on the Welsh side as we just want rid of the English and it gets them out faster ;-) (I'm married to an Englishman so I am only joking! - well not the bit about Wales being the better side tho cuz it is!) But seriously, its nothing to do with sides....the money is used for the up-keep of the bridge on BOTH sides. No idea why they did put the tolls on paying to enter Wales! |
