Has Cancun recovered from the big hurricane? |
Travel Info Traveling to Cancun in February. Received some feed back from someone who was in Cozumel recently that everything is messed up. So I'm sort of concerned about it being it is our first time in Mexico. Travel Tips I just got back on January 6th. Only 30% of hotels are up and running. I stayed at thr Riu Cancun. It was a beautiful hotel. There are only 4 clubs open - Dady-O's, Daddy Rocks, Congo & Corona Bar. It was still a very good time. The beaches are smaller but there is sand on them. Most of the activities and sights along with the shopping and flea markets are open. It was about 85 and sunny every day I was there. I saw signs on most of the hotels saying they are expecting to be open around March 2006. I've been to Cancun 2 previous times and enjoyed this trip just as much as the last 2. Others In February probably the 85% of cancun is gonna be OK |
