Travel Tips i know thats when the cup final is on but there are dozens of hotels in cardiff, try the tourist board or try hotels in penarth, its really pretty, on the seafront and only about 2 train stops from cardiff, or 15 mins on the bus. good luck Others the fa cup final is on that weekend so you have little to no chance of getting anywhere- I'm having the same problem for the weekend after when the heineken cup final is on. Try a town that is on the train lines out of cardiff- newport, barry, etc. or pick a different weekend cause the place will be mobbed!! check out: http://www.thefa.com/TheFACup/ I don't think you will have much luck finding somewhere on that weekend and if you do it won't be cheap. Your best bet would be to ring around on the 12th and find the last minute cacellations. My spare room is going at a rate of 拢100 a nite ;-) I'm only a 10 minute drive from the stadium! Also, it's best to try the smaller guesthouses than the big hotels. Look out for anything on Cathedral Road, Newport Road or even better still, go out further to Barry or Penarth. Modified 1 year ago You could try the ibis hotel near the city centre, but of course it depends on the whole fa cup whether you'll get a room!! It's just down from the capitol shopping centre, turn right as you approach the centre from the front (on foot), and you'll see it down the end of the road. hope this helps! There's the big sleep, or the Marriot hotel, round near the CIA to try also. |
