Why has Cardiff Station have a Platfom '0' (Zero)???

Travel Info
I was sitting on platfor 1 in cardiff station when I heard an announcement for a train arriving on platform zero! and would you believe it the oppsoite platform was zero!

Travel Tips
Platform zeros are typically used (in Britain) as places to keep trainspotters and other assorted transport twitchers well out of the way of the general travelling public.

I have also heard that more recently, they have been used as places for really late train arrivals and departures, in the hope that the rest of us somehow won't notice. They seem to be getting quite a lot of use in this respect nowadays.

Specifically in Cardiff, this could also be some weird sort of Welsh sense-of-humour thing.

Others
It's probably lower down... why don't you ask station staff?
