I'm American my husband is Welsh, I lived in the UK for nearly 5 years. I lived about 30 minutes from Cardiff in England , the border of Wales and England in the Royal Forest of Dean.You will absolutely like Cardiff, it's the London of Wales. You can find a flat 1 bedroom for about 360 pound month. I recommend living near or at Cardiff Bay. It has so much property development right now. Cardiff Bay is so beautiful. You will be moving in the winter so I hope you find a place. We live in Memphis Tn USA now, but my husband and I are going to visit his family in November for a month, Can hardly wait to visit Cardiff again, In my opinion the Cardiff City Centre is prettier then London and the people are nicer also. I hope you like it there.

hi there, i have lived there and its wonderful place to live. but its crowded. as a student its not nice. its gone expensive recently.
