What is the best Italian restaurant in Cardiff? |
Travel Info I remember my husband taking me to this nice italian restaurant near thee town center, it had famous peoples pictures with autographs on the wall, and had nice long crunchy bread sticks. food and wine was simply devine. it also was a night cocktail club at night and the weekends.. really modern looking down stairs with leather sofa's and cocktail tables. does anyone know what resturant that is? we are traveling back over in November from USA and I want to recall the name to my husband so he will take me. thanks = ) Travel Tips Yep- you mean Topo Gigio- it's in St John's square. Quite near to a church on a cobbled sort of street? I love it in there. here is the review from www.itchycardiff.co.uk review Busy Italian in the town centre, ideal place to eat and meet. A strong emphasis is placed on atmosphere, and it certainly hits you when you walk through the doors. Listen to the array of Italian voices in the background. They should be talking about food, but are probably slagging each other鈥檚 mothers. Anything sounds good in the language of love. This restaurant鈥檚 heaving at night, so if you鈥檙e after a quiet intimate meal it won鈥檛 fit the bill. However, if you鈥檙e with a friend or boring family member the buzzing atmosphere will ease your night along.
