Travel Info Can anyone tell me of elocution classes in Cardiff? Travel Tips Elocution lessons? In Cardiff? In Welsh or English? Others BAAAAAAAA, BAAAAAAAA. Aaaaah - please don't get rid of that lovely Welsh accent. It's my fave accent ever. Elecution lessons in Cardiff,yer avin a laf.its drug education they want there first,if they stopped taking them,you might understand them ,and wouldnt be the need for elecution lessons. SWALEC do electrocution lessons if that helps! LOL! Don't do it! I am from Newport (lived there 21 years before moving to Cardiff - lived in Cardiff for 10 years), am not a Welsh speaker, and did Elocution lessons because my singing teacher complained about my "Newport" South Walian accent - flattening vowels and the like. I ended up losing my Welsh accent. Everyone thinks I'm English now! We now live up the Valleys and my BF, who IS English (from Kent) gets stick from all the stupid anti-English Welsh Nationalists and because I lost my accent through elocution lessons they assume I'm English too!!! I have to keep explaining I'm Welsh and then they say "But you don't sound Welsh!" Mind you not everyone in Cardiff is Welsh or has a Welsh accent! |
