Have you been to Cardiff?

I am looking for a holiday and a few people have told me that Cardiff has become a very nice City . The Bay area has become one of the cultural capitals of Wales and there is alot of Sight seeing to do there now . And someone also told me that it is very interesting to see the Welsh language , culture ect all round the City. I also heard that it is well worth a visit to the Millenium Centre and the millenium stadium.

I have been to Cardiff many times, always for work, on contracts!
I have also been to many other places in the UK and all over the world, always working!
Hand on heart I think Cardiff is about the best spot I have been to, the people are fantastic , I don't think I have ever been to a more cosmopolitan place anywhere, all nationalities seem to get on very well. (Maybe with the exception of the English visitors)!!
Not many in the South of Wales speak Welsh, so what, who cares? But they are all proud to be called 'Welsh'
You are correct there are many places of great interest to visit, but mainly I found all the people to be great!!.

No I have not been to Cardiff.
It has improved, it really has. But it's not worth a holiday. You could spend maybe a day looking around, but really you should go to Wales' countryside in the Spring. I wonder if someone's maybe pulling your leg...
I have been to Cardiff by the Sea in California. It's wonderful there. But not Wales I wouldn't know about that.
Cardiff is a sleepy little seaside town with just enough to do to make it interesting. It's a little isolated, but you can drive to San Diego or Orange county for day trips.
