You can get to Wales from the US East Coast for as little as $600 flying in to Heathrow and then heading 150m miles West by road or rail.

In terms of other costs, it depends where you wish to locate.

The most expensive areas are in the South near the coast, though they are still relatively cheap compared to Southern England.

Cardiff is easily the most expensive for property, followed by other areas on the M4 corridor.

The North and West are more rural, and people there also speak Welsh as a first language, so if you wish to locate to these beautiful areas, a Welsh language course might be the order of the day.
