Travel from Delhi to Manali by road.?

I am planning a holiday trip to Manali with my family for four days. I have decided to go by a rental car. I am sure many of you must have taken this type of journey. Can you please guide me so that I can fully enjoy my trip.

Travel Tips

It will be a good idea to travel in an air- conditioned 4WD. It will take you around 8 to 10 hours, so ensure that you leave very early in the morning , preferably by 4 AM. This way, you can avoid the city traffic. Take halt after every 4 hours for food. Take plenty of water bottles, so that you remain hydrated.Carry a medicine kit and a (battery operated) torch. If travelling with children, carry cushions for comfort and support.
And lastly, HAVE A WONDERFUL TRIP !

Well I believe you should take a driver with you as driving for long hours is a tedious job and will tire you even before your trip has started!Also if you get a driver you do not need to worry about the way as the driver will know the way like the back of his hand.As far as the route is concerned please visit
