Cost of tolls in Illinois? |
Travel Info Cost of tolls in Illinois? Travel Tips The tollways in Illinois vary depending where you are and whether or not you are paying with cash or the i-pass. I-pass users receive special rates (about 1/2 the price of cash paying users) but the i-pass is really meant for local residents and commuters. If you're planning on moving here check out the i-pass. You can get it at Jewel food stores. Other wise if you are just driving through expect to pay $0.80-$1.00 per toll. I don't know if you are driving through the whole state, part of the state or just in Chicago but I would count on hitting about 2-3 tolls if you are traveling through Chicago and about 3-5 if you are traveling through the state. Source(s): I lived in Chicago and the suburbs for 25 years. Other Travel Tips Somewhere about 2 to 3 dollars depending on what you are bringing and all that. Way too much. Especially considering their roads are some of the worst in the country. It really depends on where you are going, but you can pay well more than $10. You can pay $3 just to go part way through Chicago. The link below should get you the exact info you need based upon where you are going. http://www.illinoistollway.com/portal/pa... Modified 1 year ago 40 cents to 50 cents every 5 miles with Ipass. Double that if paying cash. |
