When is a good time to visit Shanghai?

Travel Info
When is a good time to visit Shanghai and where is a good place to stay?

Travel Tips
I made the mistake of visiting Shanghai during Chinese New Year. Don't ever do that. It's too hard to get around.

I stayed at a youth hostel called Maggie's Youth Hostel. Met lots of great travellers there to explore the city with!!! Source(s): http://www.hostelworld.com/hosteldetails...

Other Travel Tips
never go to shanghai in summar or in winter, for the former is too hot and the latter is too cold. and avoid visit shanghai when the season is changing. It is rainy those days and Shanghai can be really dirty. however, to some people it is appealing to visit its neighboring much older cities and especially towns when it has small rains. the streets and the along with rivers become so exotically romantic.
anyway, people come to shanghai for the untruing scenes that shanghai stages. on one hand, it is a chinese city with its traditional chinese architectures and its half-traditional half-modern people, on the other hand, it has many western style architectures scatered in and around the city due to the Half-Colognial Era. Shanghai is especially proud of its Bund, which is considered one of its best show. so it's really the combination of oriental and occidental that appeals people the most, not that some place's special. and it is an upcoming international city, so westerners won't be dull at night for there are plenty of pubs and clubs to have fun with just as they are at home.

September would be an ideal month to visit Shanghai for the best weather conditions.

Avoid travel to Shanghai during Chinese Holidays (i.e. Spring Festival, National Day, and May Day).
