It's very cold, but I was there last year in February, and it wasn't so bad. Plus, since it is off season, you'll have lots of the tourist sites to yourself, which is great. We went on a great wall tour that takes you on a 9 km walk on the wall. We didn't see another tourist all day. I recommend staying at the international youth hostel (more like a hotel than a hostel) next to the East train station. It's very close to Tiananment Square and the Forbidden City. |
