Travel Info Has anyone ever flew to Seattle and drove down the coast to San Francisco? Any tips ? Travel Tips I've driven up the coast to Seattle from San Francisco, and back through the valley to return to the Bay Area. Highway 1 in Northern California is beautiful, but dangerous. Twisty mountain roads that quite a few people try to speed. It's a very pretty drive that adds hours upon hours to the trip, but if you don't mind lots of turns, taking it slow, and breathtaking views of the ocean, you'll enjoy it. Oregon along the coast is pretty much a straight shot. Scenic and simple, but with far more towns along the way (so the speedlimit changes quite often). Others Great drive enjoy make sure you make your drive time in the day that is Gods Country Modified 1 year ago My rommate fly from oakdale to seattle and took the grey hound back to santa cruz. I've drove from San Leandro to Seattle and it was such a secenic ride. Make sure you stop at most of teh rest areas to use teh bathrooms and take lots of pictures. i would think lots have and why would you want a tip for that Make sure to bring bottled water for the southern part of the trip, rent a light colored car, and stay off of I 5 travel only coastal roads. If you stay in seattle for any length of time, use a dryer, don't hang something up to dry it might mold, things can sometimes mold quickly there. If you see a gas station and you are less then half a tank you might want to fill up, it could be a while before the next one. USed to live there. |
