I can suggest the Quellenhof hotel which has its own thermal swimming pool and the Ratskeller restaurant in Aachen. You are however, only 70 km from "Cologne" and there are a ton of hotels at every price point there. There is also a sweet, charming place just outside of Aachen called the Zum Alten Forsthaus off of the A4Kohln-Aachen autobahn on the Duren exit to just past Hurtgenwald. It is a kind of hunter's lodge/forester's lodge, but does have some luxuries like a solarium, indoor pool, sauna, fitness and massage room, bowling alley and even an archery and air rifle range.
