Travel Info If you like cruises, Why? And what cruise? Travel Tips I do, I do!!!! I love cruises, I think they are great. It's the perfect way to see the world. If you are a little scared of traveling to some place new on your own, it's great. Plus, you get to go to several places in one trip. Then, if you like one place in particular, you can go back on your own. I think all the cruise lines are great. It just depends on what your interests and budget are. For me it would be like this: Lower budget: Royal Caribbean Mid-budget: Disney High budget: Oceania or Crystal Royal Caribbean has great prices, just a little more than Carnival, usually. But, you get a little more class, less partying and drinking, a slightly older group of people on board. It's a great line as far as service and food. I think it is a step up from Carnival with just a slight increase in price. Disney is great. Whether you have kids or you are a kid at heart. The shows are beautiful (I literally get goosebumps everytime I see them), the food is always really good, its clean, etc. But the big thing on Disney is the service. I think that the staff is one of the best on a cruise. They will go above and beyond to make you happy. Until you have experienced a Disney cruise, it is hard to comprehend how great they are, after you have experienced a Disney cruise, it is hard to settle for anything less. All of the higher-end lines are great. They usually have some more exotic desinations, more choices, a little better food, larger rooms, etc. Also, the average age on a higher-end cruise is going to be a little older. Usually people on board are 50 and up. So, if you are wanting a more laid back environment that is a little more casual, you may want to stay away from them. If you are wanting a really classy, top of the line experience, it is perfect. I hope this helps! Others I agree, Disney is the BEST cruise, even if you dont have kids. They have separate areas of the ship (and the island) set aside for adults only. Personally, we love to cruise and feel it is the best value in a vacation for some of the answers already posted but more. It is a way to relax, be pampered, see and learn about new places, enjoy a sense of adventure as you "sail the high seas" and a great place to make new friends from all over. With 31 under our belt now, our favorite is always the next one! OMg. i love cruises I went on a carnival cruise two years ago and i can still remember every detail today. The people are extremely nice and hospitable. The food was delicious, the shows were great, the atmosphere was amazing. What's there NOT to like? You can basically go anywhere in the world you want to go.. It's an amazing experience. |
