If you are an American can you spend money in Cuban Dollars? |
Travel Info If you are an American, can you spend Cuban Dollars that have been converted from The American dollar without suffering any penalties? I know the restriction is that we can't spend American money there but if Cuba is independant why would they accept our money? plz help. If you convert $100, you will get $80. Once you leave Cuba that money is completely useless in the rest of the world, it's like Monopoly money, no value. The US has strict policies about money being spent in Cuba and even has restrictions on who may go to Cuba. Some people travel through other countries such as Mexico and the Bahamas. |
