When was the revolution of Cuba???

Travel Tips
The Cuban Revolution was the overthrow of Fulgencio Batista鈥檚 regime by the 26th of July Movement and the establishment of a new Cuban government led by Fidel Castro in the 1950s. It began with the assault on the Moncada Barracks on July 26, 1953, and ended on January 1, 1959, when Batista was driven from the country and the cities Santa Clara and Santiago de Cuba were seized by rebels, led by Che Guevara and Fidel Castro's surrogates Ra煤l Castro and Huber Matos, respectively. The term "Cuban Revolution" is also used to refer to the social revolution after the overthrow of Batista and the adoption of Marxist principles by the new Cuban Government.

IT WAS IN 1970 OR SOM3THING LIK3 THAT
Are you talking about the revolution that was led by Castro? Batista was ousted in the late 1950s. Cuba used to thrive as a tourist island but Castro destroyed that and the economy such that Cuba became dependent on the Soviets for aid. The Cuban people will be paying for these mistakes for you years to come. Batista had a lot of problems, but to solve the problems of Cuba, Castro was a much much worse answer. Had Batista been ousted and a reasonable president elected, Cuba today could have a thriving economy in part fueled by tourism.
