My daughter & her family booked to go to Cuba over Christmas. Is it safe? Is it beautiful? Are there places of interest for tourists? What did you like? And what did you not like?

Had an Awesome time! It is definitely safe! The beaches r gorgeous of course! Where will u b staying, because that will affect the condition of some hotels! I went 2 Varadero ( they have much more 2 see since it is close 2 many restaurants (I do recommend trying food outside of the hotel though!), bars, the villages, shops...!) & Cayo Coco (this is quite an isolated area! So we were stuck at the hotel alot! I went with some friends to a 4star & it had all amenities & the food was fine! Snorkling & scuba diving is greatr here cuz there r so many corals!) Hope this helps u a bit! ps. it is recommended to bring little gifts with u if u go 2 the villages since ppl may ask 4 things! such as candies or change even 4 the kids!

i was there the food sucks,the weather is good ,old havana is all broken up but fun to walk thru the beach is nice
We were in Holguin last year. We had a fantastic time. And yes it is a beautiful country, the weather was perfect, however, it is a very poor country, we did bring gifts to leave for the staff at the resort and the locals. We also brought school supplies to leave at the local schools as supplies are in very short supply - we saw a couple of school where the children had to sit on the floor - no desks. It might be a good experience for the children to see how the Cuban's live.
