Travel Info Someone Describe the health care system in Cuba and the education system in Cuba plz and thnx Travel Tips Hi, the answer is pretty simple: a) education is free in Cuba, really free for all levels, from primary education to university and post-graduate. You can go as far as you can. In order to enter to the University you had to do some tests, but now is even simpler because there are new programs to extend the university to every city in the Country, so every person in the country can study at the university and then he/she can apply for post-graduate courses (masters, doctorates, etc). b) health care system is also free, really free, every body in the country have medical assistance guaranteed, all levels, from just a simple consultation to solve a common virus illness to complex heart operations. all medicaments have reasonable prices... and yes... of course there are problems, lot of problems, but Cuba is simply a third world country, so it's really very valuable what the country does to keep the health care as good as possible. Cuba is also famous due its help to other countries. Anything else you would like to know? Others I read that the government pays for all medical and education. The problem is NO FOOD, no good roads, NO VEHICLES. So you have a great education, in great health. But NO GOOD JOBS. You have great doctors and education but doctors make $100 - $120 per month. When I was there 3 years ago. A doctor was thinking becoming a bartender because she makes more money on tips than a doctor. Sad but true. Education is paid for by the government. THERE BOTH GREAT some of the best doctors and health care in latin america, they do alot of things that they dont do in america and for alot cheaper |
