What is the food like in Cuba? |
Travel Info i am going to cuba in a few weeks and i am worried about what the food is going to be like and if anyone knows any nice places to eat there i am stopping in the town called veadairo Travel Tips I thought the food in Cuba was lovely, very healthy and lots of it, if your into fast food then you are going to be disappointed, none of that in Cuba, just good food, lots of salads and meats, pasta, fish, veg and fruit, good choice at breakfast with anything from a pancake to a full breakfast, I found it a bit over facing so made salad sandwich for lunch with cold meats and cheese, our hotel did pizza and their version of burgers at lunchtime and people seemed to like them, the desserts were beautiful as was the ice cream, lots of people do complain about the food in Cuba but I also think those people aren't used to proper food and live off takeaways and McDonald's, hope you have a good time and enjoy yourself. Others I've been there, the beaches are the best i've ever seen, but sadly the food wasn't. Its a matter of supply and demand, the give you what they can get hold of, but saying that i stayed All Inclusive and ate out most nights, there are lots of good places to eat on Varedairo strip,,,,, I suspect you will be eating lobster twice a day but don't get excited as they are the warm water variety which are inferior. I had breakfast and dinner at my hotel which was not bad but equally not memorable. We went to Cuba last year - the food is OK, I tend to be a bit picky and I didn't go hungry. We just found it to be an amazing country. |
