my belif and experiance is that in india best way to get money is organising a charity show even a small one with the help of local business doing promotions for them.

Others
get a grass roots effort to collect donations...check with local businesses. they may give you a sizeable donation
pay from ur pocket. the best and easy way other wise ask people to donate
