You can also go shopping to Sarojini nagar, South Extension market. There are some good picnic spots on way to Faridabad/Gurgaon and you can spend some time there. You can also do some mall hopping in Gurgaon. Delhi is full of things to do and places to visit. 1.Of course there is the Dilli Haat 2.Lodi Garden is central Delhi is a huge and beautiful garden. It even has many tombs of the kings from the lodi kingdom. 3.Qutub Minar and Jantar Mantar are some historic places to visit. 4.If you are in for adventure, I suggest you go to old Delhi.It is crowded and dirty but the Lal Quila(red fort) and Jama masjid there are magnificent and extremely beautiful. 5.In old Delhi near Jama masjid you will find a restaurant called Kareem.It was started in the mughal ages and it still uses the same recipes.It is heaven for meat eaters.It suggest you try mutton/chicken korma with roti. Well there's the lotus temple near Nehru place, then yu have the Akshardham temple too...this one's almost a resort. Check out Khan market in Delhi while the Malls in gurgaon. Dilli Haat is a great place too. Go janpath to get some real good stuff for cheap... and while there eat at some of the best south indian joints.... my fav was Sarvana Bhawan.
