Travel Info What are the best sites to see in Copenhagen? Travel Tips We went to the Rundetarn, an ancient tower with a walkway that spirals upwards. When you reach the top you can get a wonderful view of the city. We also went to Assistens Cemetary and saw the gravesite of Hans Christian Andersen as well as those of many famous Danish artists, scientists as well as a few american jazz musicians. We caught a train to Elsingore, which isn't far from Kobenhavn, to see the Castle that inspired Shakespeare's Hamlet and saw the statue of the Little Mermaid (which is often mysteriously beheaded fo various reasons). We also went to the Folketinget or Danish Parliament to see government in action as well as to see the wonderful architecture of thr buildings there. We went to the National Museum and saw mummies and artifacts of the Vikings. We caught several local jazz acts at nightclubs around the city as well. Others The harbour? the cafes? The architecture? Modified 11 months ago The harbour... and the restaurants... http://juzcoffee.blogspot.com/ The Little Mermaid & the Carlsberg museum. There are a lot of things to see in Copenhagen. The queen's palace is in the city. They have several changing of the guard ceremonies throughout the day. Also, there is Rosenborg Castle which is worth the visit. Tivoli Gardens is a European theme park that is pretty famous. There are also canal tours by boat. The main walking street is enjoyable to walk, shop and dine on also. Have a good trip |
