Travel Tips Possibly, but Greenland is considered part of the American continent and if you count countries that only have their smallest parts in Europe then Russia and Kazakhstan also figure pretty highly on the list of big European countries. Others in europe, technically yes. in EU, no as while denmark is in the EU Greenland is not. I don't think Denmark technically possesses Greenland. It is a protectorate of theirs. Much like Puerto Rico is for the US. So it is not included in their calculation of square miles for the area of the country. no.france |
