What is the quickest route from Copenhagen, Denmark, to Berlin, Germany? Ferry, train, or both? |
Travel Info My wife and I are vacationing in a couple of months. We will start in Copenhagen, then will go to Berlin. We won't be driving. We are looking for the best/quickest/cheapest route from Copenhagen to Berlin. Travel Tips I would go by plane. I took a cheap, quick and easy flight from Prague to Copenhagen a few years ago. It only took an hour and a half and I seem to remember it being about $200USD. The only way to go! Others If you cannot get a plane ticket, your idea of both (ferry and train) is the way to go. Have fun on your Holiday! Theres really three ways to go - Copenhagen due west, then south to Hamburg and east to Berlin. All train - and a couple of large bridges. Or Due south out of copenhagen to Roedby, ferry to germany and from there to Hamburg (and change of train) - or you can go due east through sweden, ferry to germany and then on to berlin. The first is probably the quickest - the latter the 'laziest' and easiest. Have fun both places. You can look up the Danish National Train sevice on www.DSB.dk (press the english button) Be careful if you are travelling in July - lots of rebuilding on Copenhagen main trainstation and tracks - so expect som disruptions. both will be faster and probably cheaper |
